James Okonkwo is Diplomat Daily's geopolitics editor, based in New York. A Nigerian-American who studied at Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, James spent five years at the United Nations covering multilateral trade negotiations before transitioning to journalism. He is the author of two books on the intersection of diplomacy and international trade, and is a regular commentator on BBC World Service and Al Jazeera English.
